West Central/Southwest 3A bi-district baseball bracket

The West Central/Southwest bi-district baseball tournament starts today at five sites — Russell Road (Kent), Kent Memorial Park, Heritage Park (Puyallup), Propstra Stadium (Vancouver) and Yelm.

I’m planning to cover the double-heder at KMP, were top-ranked Mount Rainier takes on Union of Vancouver at 7 p.m. The Rams lost the SPSL/Seamount sub-district title game to Enumclaw in 10 innings on Saturday. Enumclaw plays North Kitsap at 8 p.m. at Heritage.

The other game at KMP pairs Auburn Mountainview against Olympic at 4 p.m.

You can find the complete bracket here.

It’s an interesting set-up because four of the opening games are loser-out and the other four are double-elimination. The higher seeds get two chances to avance to regionals.

The tournament continues Saturday.
