9:13 p.m.: Final: Bishop Blanchet 7, Nathan Hale 1

8:24 p.m.: Nathan Hale gets on the board with an RBI double from Cyrus Brown. Josh Thorne had a leadoff triple to open the sixth inning.

It’s 7-1 Blanchet heading into the bottom of the sixth.

8:13 p.m.: Mark Klick just drove a three-run homer out to right-center field, putting Blanchet up 7-0 heading into the sixth.

8:06 p.m.: Since Josh Sale saved that run in the second, Max Engelbrekt has retired the last 11 Nathan Hale hitters.

Blanchet leads, 4-0, in the bottom of the fifth.

7:47 p.m.: Brandon Boehm and Mark Klick each delivered two-RBI singles in the third to put Blanchet up 4-0.

7:20 p.m.: Josh Sale saved a run in the second. On a ground ball to right field, the runner on second base tried to score on a hard single. Sale came up throwing and hit catcher Sam Williams with a perfect strike to the plate.

There’s still no score heading into the bottom of the second.

7:12 p.m.: After one here at Steve Cox Memorial Park there’s no score.

6:21 p.m.: Next up it’s Bishop Blanchet-Nathan Hale with a trip to state on the line. Game time is 7 p.m.

6:05 p.m.: Eastside Catholic got the first two runners on and then had runners on second and third with one out after a sacrifice bunt, but West Seattle pitcher Ryan Wiggins struck out the next two batters to seal a 9-6 win over the Crusaders.

5:51 p.m.: West Seattle takes advantage of two Eastside Catholic errors and has regained the lead, 9-6.

Stephan Adams hit a two-out, bases-loaded single up the middle that got away from the center fielder, allowing all three runs to score.

There are still two outs in the sixth.

5:36 p.m.: Braden Wolgamott just ripped a two-run, two-out double in the top of the sixth to give Eastside Catholic a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom half of inning.

5:24 p.m.: Trevor Martin just crushed a two-run homer to center field that bounced off a light standard in center field. That tied the score at 4.

Then Ryan Wiggins followed with a double to right. Stephan Adams drove in the go-ahead run and it’s 5-4 West Seattle with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

— I’m out at the Metro League baseball tournament here at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center. Right now West Seattle is playing Eastside Catholic in the semifinals.

Eastside Catholic currently leads 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth.

Next up, second-ranked Bishop Blanchet plays Nathan Hale at 7 p.m.
