Metro League tournament updates

Final: Blanchet 7, West Seattle 2.

3:36 p.m.: After six it’s 7-2 Blanchet.

3:21 p.m.: Garret Hay and Josh Sale each hit solo shots in the fifth, putting Blanchet up 7-2 as we head to the sixth.

3:00 p.m.: Riley Rockwell and Mike Shanahan each hit two-run homers in the fourth to make it 5-2 Blanchet after four.

2:46 p.m.: Ryan Wiggins hit a two-run homer for West Seattle in the fourth, putting the Wildcats up, 2-1, heading into the bottom of the fourth.

2:29 p.m.: Michael Albert has a no-hitter through three for Blanchet. It’s 1-0 Braves in the bottom of the third.

2:13 p.m.: Bishop Blanchet strikes first. Brandon Boehm scores on an error in the bottom of the first after a leadoff double. It’s 1-0 Braves after one.

1:57 p.m.: We’re underway a few minutes early here for the Metro League title game.

Next up it’s Bishop Blanchet vs. West Seattle for the Metro League title at 2 p.m.

Final: O’Dea 18, Nathan Hale 1

12:57 p.m.: O’Dea scored nine runs in the sixth. It’s now 18-1. Paul Sitkowski is now 4 for 5 with two doubles, a triple, four RBI and four runs scored for the Irish.

12:34 p.m.: Jake Holmes hit a pinch-hit three-run homer in the fifth for O’Dea, putting the Irish up, 9-1.

12:07 p.m.: O’Dea picks up another run in the fourth and it’s 6-0.

11:59 a.m.: After three innings it’s 5-0 O’Dea.

Shane Smith has a homer for the Irish and Paul Sitkowski is 2 for 2 with a triple and two runs scored.

11:34 a.m.: I’m at Steve Cox Memorial Park for some early afternoon Metro League tournament baseball. After two innings, O’Dea leads Nathan Hale, 4-0. The winner of this game advances to play KingCo No. 2 at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Steve Cox.

Next up, we’ve got the Metro League title game between West Seattle and Bishop Blanchet at 2 p.m.
