IMG00063.jpg

8:11 p.m.: Final: O’Dea 6, Sammamish 1

7:48 p.m.: O’Dea picks up another run on an RBI double from Keenan Forch. It’s 6-1 Irish heading into the seventh.

The defending 3A champs are three outs a way from a trip to the state playoffs.

7:32 p.m.: After five it’s O’Dea 5, Sammamish 1.

7:24 p.m.: Keenan Forch is pitching well for O’Dea, giving up just one run on four hits through five innings.

7:20 p.m.: After four innings, O’Dea holds a 5-1 lead over Sammamish.

6:37 p.m.: Sammamish tried a two-out squeeze that didn’t work out in the top of the third. We’re still tied in the bottom of the third.

6:36 p.m.: O’Dea took advantage of two errors in the second and tied the game at 1.

6:12 p.m.: O’Dea works a pair of one-out walks, but the Totems get a pair of fly balls to right field to end the inning. After one it’s 1-0 Sammamish.

6:03 p.m.:The Totems strike first after a leadoff double and a sacrifice fly. It’s 1-0 heading into the bottom half of the inning.

5:44 p.m.: I’m out at Steve Cox Memorial Park for the O’Dea-Sammamish state play-in baseball game.

O’Dea has outscored its last three opponents 54-5 and Sammamish has been a big-time surprise with a 6-18 record.

I will have updates from the park throughout the game.
