The 4A and 3A state softball tournaments at SERA in Tacoma have been postponed until Saturday, due to rain.
Weather allowing, both tournaments will be just one-day events, according to John Miller of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
The first-round 4A games will be at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., while the opening 3A games will be at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The 4A and 3A championship games will be scheduled for 8 p.m. (I was originally told 9 p.m., but the brackets just posted say 8 p.m.).
A portion of the consolation bracket will be eliminated. All teams will be guaranteed two games, Miller said. Teams that lose their first game and win their second will apparently have at least one more game (as would the teams who win their first and lose their second), according to the new bracket.
Those winners likely would then all receive third-place trophies, along with the semifinal losers.
You can find the latest 4A bracket here.

The next field check will be at 7 a.m. Saturday to determine if the 10 a.m. games will go forward or if further delays are required. I will keep you updated in the morning as we know more.
