Kelso succesfully defending its 4A state softball championship with a 2-1 victory over Heritage of Vancouver in eight innings Saturday night at SERA in Tacoma.
But Bainbridge, last year’s 3A champion, lost in the 3A final to Sedro-Woolley, 10-0.
Here are the scores of the final consolation games in 4A, which were limited to five innings (the winners all receive third-place trophies):

I just got the final score of that second 3A semifinal. Bainbridge won 7-5 to return to the championship game. The Spartans play Sedro-Woolley in about 15 minutes.
Everett gets one of the third-place trophies.
It’s an all-Greater St. Helen’s League championship game in Class 4A.
Kelso, the defending champion, beat Inglemoor in one semifinal, 3-1.
Heritage beat Walla Walla in the other, 1-0.
Kelso and Heritage play for the title in about 15 minutes.
Inglemoor and Walla Walla will be among the six teams receiving third-place trophies.
In 3A, Sedro-Woolley’s Bailey Brewer threw a no-hitter in a 3-0 victory over West Valley of Yakima to lead the Cubs into the championship game. She struck out 10.
Bainbridge leads Everett 6-2 in the fifth inning of the other 3A semifinal.
