Class 4A and 3A state football rankings — Week 3

There isn’t much to report in the rankings this week.

Lakes was the only team in the 4A or 3A top 10 to lose over the weekend. The Lancers lost to a tough Capital team in overtime, so Lakes doesn’t fall far, checking in at No. 6 this week.

Capital is now up to No. 4 in 3A and I think Bellevue, Liberty, Camas and the Cougars have made strong cases for No. 1 so far but, based on tradition, I’m sticking with the Wolverines for now.

Mount Spokane jumps to No. 5 in 3A.

All 10 teams won in 4A, but Skyview has yet to make a statement and falls to No. 8.

Union and Skyview play on Oct. 29, a matchup of the top-two 4A teams in the GSHL.
