Final thoughts on Friday night football

It was a wild night in high-school football. I spent the day following Interlake coach Jason Rimkus for a project that will run at some point over the next two weeks.

However, the story of the Saints’ matchup with Lake Washington, at least as far as the game was concerned, was the fact that the Kangaroos’ 34-13 win was their first home victory since Sept. 15, 2006.

Lake Washington won that game against Inglemoor, 41-35. The Kangaroos picked up this year’s win during their final home game of the season.

Interlake’s Scotty Gehlhausen returned the opening kickoff for a 98-yard touchdown, but it was all Lake Washington after that.

Here’s a look at the rest of Friday night’s high-school football action.
