As is often the case, huge games dot the schedule as the regular season enters the final stretch.
There are many this week involving teams in the state rankings. One of the most notable ones will be Skyline and Issaquah Tuesday night in a KingCo battle between the No. 1 and No. 5 teams in Class 4A.
This week is a brutal one for top-ranked and two-time defending state champion Skyline. The Spartans also play at No. 7 Woodinville Thursday night.
Skyline (12-0-0) recorded its 10th and 11th shutouts of the season last week while defeating Garfield and Eastlake.
Another big 4A matchup this week will be No. 8 South Kitsap against No. 9 Bellarmine Prep. That game will be played Thursday night at Bellarmine, which has won five in a row, including a 3-0 victory over Stadium last week.
Glacier Peak, No. 1 in 3A, will tackle a red-hot Everett team Thursday night in Snohomish. The Gulls, who have won five in a row, slipped into the 3A rankings at No. 8.
No. 3 Camas gets another test this week when it takes on defending 3A state champion Columbia River Tuesday.
