Final 4A and 3A high-school football rankings

Well, the first week of the postseason is over and the KingCo Conference put together a very strong showing.

All five 4A teams won and all four 3A teams advanced.

There aren’t many changes in the rankings this week. Since there are only 16 teams left, I ranked every team.

Skyview jumps back into the top 10 in 4A. Gonzaga Prep’s loss to Richland drops the Bullpups out of the rankings — Bishop Sankey fell short in his attempt to set the state’s single-season rushing record — allowing Chiawana, Eastlake, Issaquah and Rogers to each move up one spot.

Mount Si enters the 3A rankings for the first time after upsetting ninth-ranked Glacier Peak, 21-20, in overtime.

The Wildcats’ reward for the upset is a first-round matchup with league-rival Liberty. The Patriots won the first matchup, 38-22.

The first round features matchups between several ranked teams.

In 4A, No. 7 Eastlake plays No. 2 Curtis, No. 9 Rogers travels to top-ranked Skyline and No. 5 Bothell plays No. 4 Kentwood.

In 3A, No. 7 Liberty travels to No. 9 Mount Si and No. 4 Juanita goes on the road to play No. 2 Camas.
