Running back Alphonse Wade, who enjoyed an outstanding three-year football career at Auburn, has made an oral commitment to Air Force.
“I think Air Force is a tremendous fit for Alphonse,” Auburn coach Gordy Elliott said. “He is a very good student (3.55) and will take advantage of the outstanding educational and career opportunities at the Academy.”
Wade rushed for nearly 3,000 yards in three seasons, averaging better than nine yards a carry on a team that spread the ball around. He was voted to the All-SPSL 4A North Division first team on offense as both a junior and senior and was also a first-team defensive back this past season.
