A look back at hoops highlights from Wednesday night

Here is my story from the Slalom Slam, which Seattle Prep won on its home floor. Redmond took third place in the tournament.

Here is a look at the rest of the action with teams playing both locally and out of state:

Orange Holiday Classic

Gary Bell scored 28 to lead second-ranked Kentridge past La Habra (Calif.), 77-71.

Bellevue College Holiday Tournament

— Inglemoor advanced to the title game behind strong performances from Andy Nwaelele (20 points) and Eric Bryant (12), beating a very good Glacier Peak team, 53-48.

Jack Bonner finished with 16 points for the Grizzlies.

— Sammamish, ranked No. 9 in 3A, also advanced to the title game, knocking off Bear Creek, a very good 2B school, 65-43.

John Steinberg scored 25, while Sami Jarjour added 15 for the Totems. Ryan Strandin scored 18 for Bear Creek.

Bill Riley Communities Holiday Classic

— Decatur’s Jerron Smith finished with 30 points and six steals, but the Gators fell to Jefferson 71-61.

Decatur plays Rogers today at 6 p.m. The Rams lost to Lincoln, ranked No. 4 in 3A, 56-52.

Lincoln will play Jefferson for the title at 7:45 p.m.

Boston Holiday Classic

— Mount Si beat Bishop Guertin (Ranked No. 2 in the state of New Hampshire), 72-69.

Dallas Smith led the team in scoring with 21 points four assists, six rebounds and five steals. Trent Riley added 20 points.

ESPN Holiday Prep Classic

James Cooks scored 22 and Patrick Cooks finished with 12, leading Curtis, ranked No. 4 in 4A, past McClymonds (Oakland, Calif.), 63-54.

Kendrick Van Ackeren scored 16 points and Nate Sikma added 14, leading Bellevue, ranked No. 6 in 3A, past Kamehameha (Hawaii), 65-49.

Estancia Coast Classic

Sam Cohn scored 15 points and Brian Miller added 11, but Mercer Island, ranked No. 8 in 3A, fell to Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, Calif.), 71-44.

Les Schwab Christmas Classic

TreVaunte Williams finished with 35 points in Foster’s 79-64 win over River Ridge.

Mitch Penner scored 28 to lead Kennedy Catholic past Enumclaw, 75-59.

— Ballard’s Salim Gloyd finished with 40 points 15 rebounds (seven offensive), but the Beavers fell to Kentlake, 84-78.

Mountlake Terrace Holiday Tournament

— O’Dea took home the tournament title with a 94-67 win over Edmonds-Woodway.

Luke Hamlin finished with 15 and Jeremiah Woodward added 14 in Snohomish’s 56-55 win over Mountlake Terrace.

Port Townsend Crush in the Slush

Dom Holub scored a game-high 25 points, but Puyallup fell to Wilson, 58-57.
