A look back at hoops highlights from Thursday night

Here is my story from the Les Schwab Christmas Classic at Kenney Catholic High School. Mount Rainier took home the title.

Bellevue College Holiday Tournament

Eric Bryant scored 18 and Andy Nwaelele added 14, leading Inglemoor to the title after a 61-57 victory over Sammamish.

George Valle scored a game-high 23 points for the Totems, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A.

Payton Pervier scored 14 and Tanner Southard 12, helping Glacier Peak claim third place with a 54-44 win over Bear Creek.

Lucas Peterson scored 15 points to lead Bear Creek.

Here is the all-tournament team:

Bill Riley Communities Holiday Classic

— Jefferson’s Deontae Davis scored a game-high 19 points, but it wasn’t enough as Lincoln, ranked No. 4 in 3A, claimed the title with an 82-52 victory.

— Rogers’ Derek Jobe finished with 26 points during an 88-54 victory over Decatur. Jerron Smith scored a game-high 30 points.

Boston Holiday Classic

Dallas Smith scored a game-high 30 points, helping Mount Si defeat Mount Pleasant (Providence, R.I.), 72-48.

Estancia Coast Classic

Brian Miller scored 17 points and Derek Newhof added 15 during Mercer Island’s 61-49 victory over Corona (Calif.).

Orange Holiday Classic

Gary Bell finished with 30 points, but Kentridge fell to Huntington Beach (Calif.), 57-54.

Surf ‘N Slam Hoop Classic

Eric Holmdahl and Mike Hwang each scored 13 points, leading Eastlake past Monroe, 50-49.

Brandon Lester, who averaged 14.3 points and 4.2 steals, was named to the all-tournament team.

Cole Parker led Monroe with 19 points.

Girls highlights

— Mount Si senior wing Hailey Eddings had 32 points and 12 rebounds with six three-pointers in a 49-41 win against Shorewood.

— Skyline’s Megan Wiedeman was named the MVP at the Cactus Jam. The Spartans defeated Holy Cross (Surrey, B.C.), 50-35 in their final game of the tournament.

Michelle Bretl was named to the all-tournament team.
