Les Schwab Shootout in Kent coming Friday

KENT – The Kentridge and Kentwood boys basketball teams, both ranked in the top 10 of the Class 4A, will battle in the highlight game of the Les Schwab Shootout in Kent, set for Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at the ShoWare Center.

No. 4 Kentridge beat No. 5 Kentwood in a close game the first time they two teams played earlier this season. The game between the two top-10 teams is set for 8:30 p.m. at the ShoWare Center, the fifth game of the third annual Les Schwab Shootout in Kent.

The event features all four Kent high school boys and girls basketball teams playing each other. The other games feature the Kent-Meridian boys and girls, the Kentlake boys and girls and the Kentridge and Kentwood girls.

A game between Cascade Christian, the top-ranked Class 1A team in the state, and Emerald Ridge will kick off the action at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 at the door for adults and $5 for seniors and students with ASB.
