Catch the only games in town Monday at ShoWare

No need for going through playoff basketball withdrawals on today (Monday), which happens to be President’s Day.

Get on out to the ShoWare Center in Kent, where six West Central District championship games are on the slate — three boys and three girls.

Here are the girls games:

2A — No. 10 Port Angeles vs. Eatonville, 10 a.m.

3A — No. 2 Prarie vs. No. 4 Kennedy Catholic, 2 p.m.

4A — No. 4 Federal Way vs. No. 7 Mount Rainier, 6 p.m.

Here are the boys games:

2A — No. 1 Clover Park vs. No. 10 Fife, noon

3A — No. 4 Lincoln vs. Decatur, 4 p.m.

4A — No. 4 Curtis vs. Kentwood, 8 p.m.

All of these teams have clinched state berths. I’ll be there and provide updates on the blog throughout the day.

There are West Central District consolation games being played today, too. In 4A and 2A, they are just seeding games with all teams already assured of trips to the first round of the state tournament. But in 3A they are loser-out, followed by one games on Tuesday for final state berths.

You can find the complete boys schedule for today here, and you can find the girls schedule for today here.

Go out and catch some hoops!
