2011 Future Stars Middle Distance Athletics Camp

Here is some information that was passed along to me recently about a middle-distance camp in Kamloops, British Columbia:

Gary Reed, who finished fourth in the 800-meter event at the Beijing Olympics, will be running a camp in Kamloops, British Columbia from April 29 to May 1.

One of the athletes expected to attend the camp is Keffri Neal, who recently won at the 2011 Brooks PR Invite at the University of Washington’s Dempsey Indoor.

The program will be held at the Tournament Capital Centre and focus on new skills and tactics to improve their overall racing approach.

Reed was a 2007 World Athletics Championship Silver Medalist, and is the current 800-meter Canadian Record Holder and six-time Canadian Champion.

The camp will be limited to 30 runners and include 7.5 hours on the track and five hours of dry land training. To register contact Future Stars Camps at 778-229-1261 or futurestars@telus.net.
