There has been a lot of talk about Tony Wroten Jr.’s time. The 10.78 was a hand time, which was reported to us after the meet. According to what is posted on athletic.net his corrected time was 11.24.

Still an impressive performance for Wroten. The corrected time is tied for 12th in the state this year.

Tony Wroten Jr. is already a proven commodity on the basketball floor. He led Garfield to a third-place finish in the Class 4A state tournament. He’s headed to Washington on a basketball scholarship. He’s the No. 3-rated point guard in the country.

Now he’s a track star.

In his first high-school track meet against Issaquah on Thursday, Wroten ran the fastest 100 meters in the state this year, turning in a time of 10.78. He also anchored the Bulldogs’ 400 relay team that finished second with a time of 45.0.
