High-school baseball highlights from Thursday

Here is a look back at Thursday’s high-school baseball action.

Roosevelt 9, Garfield 8

Zach Naon hit a grand slam, scored twice and stole a base in Roosevelt’s win.

Zack Ward was 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored for Garfield.

Edmonds-Woodway 13, Cascade 2

Austin Jones homered and Ben Roquet doubled, drove in a pair and scored twice for Edmonds-Woodway.

Michael Mazza went 2 for 2 with a home run for Cascade.

Mercer Island 10, Franklin 0

Isak Morris allowed two hits and struck out seven over four scoreless innings for Mercer Island.

David Oppenheim went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBI, Jordan Richartz was 2 for 3 with a triple, double and an RBI, Nick Holstead finished 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI and Evan Thompson was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI.

Overlake 6, Cedar Park Christian 4

Lucas Peterson went 4 for 4 with a double and two RBI for Overlake.
