High-school baseball highlights from Monday

Here is a look at Monday’s high-school baseball action.

Redmond 4, Newport 3

It was a matchup of two of the top teams in the state and second-ranked Redmond hung on to beat third-ranked Newport.

Cody Beliel went 2 for 3 for Redmond. Nate Anderson drove in a run for Newport.

Ballard 5, Roosevelt 4

Brendan Foor went 4 for 4 with a double and a run scored and Steven Weber was 2 for 4 with an RBI for Ballard.

Skyline 9, Eastlake 1

Travis Snider went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI, Clayton Huber was 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI and Jimmy Sinatro finished 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

Bothell 3, Inglemoor 0, 8 inn.

Brian McAfee threw a complete-game one-hitter, striking out 14 for Bothell.

Woodinville 9, Garfield 4

Doug Sullivan went 3 for 3 for Woodinville.

White River 9, Steilacoom 0

Trevor Lubking struck out 15, tossing a no-hitter for White River.

Mount Rainier 1, Auburn 0

Taylor Goucher went 1 for 3 and drove in the only run of the game.

Puyallup 12, Bethel 0

Eric Kimmel and Lee Larson drove in three runs apiece for Puyallup.

Ryan Schmitten gave up one hit and struck out five over five scoreless innings.

Emerald Ridge 5, Rogers 1

Bryan Burgher and Derek Riley homered for Emerald Ridge. Burgher, who drove in three runs, also picked up the win.

Kentwood 17, Kent-Meridian 1

Skyler Genger and Cash McGuire homered and drove in three runs for Kentwood.

Tahoma 9, Kentridge 5

Brian Olson drove in five runs and Tyler Watkins homered for Tahoma. Kyle Leady homered for Kentridge.

Bishop Blanchet 12, Chief Sealth 2

Eric Kimpton homered and drove in three runs, while Max Engelbrekt, Andrew Kraus and Riley Rockwell all doubled for Blanchet.

O’Dea 12, Ingraham 0

Keenan Forch homered and Spencer Ramquist tripled for O’Dea.

Eastside Catholic 12, Franklin 2

Jeff Bohling homered and drove in two and Jake Gober was 3 for 3 with four RBI.

Hazen 16, Foster 0

Jake Kolterman went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI and Jeff Beckman was 2 for 3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored.

Highline 18, Tyee 4

Jacob Wydick went 3 for 4 with six RBI and Nick Mead homered and drove in three runs.

Mount Si 5, Ellensburg 2

Trevor Lane doubled and drove in a pair for Mount Si.
