Some high-school softball highlights from Tuesday

Finally! We actually got some high-school softball games in Tuesday (although it rained and hailed like crazy down in the South End much of the afternoon).

So, here are some highlights from the action, as reported to The Times:

Woodinville 10, Garfield 0

Madi Schreyer struck out 10 in four innings and the Bulldogs managed just one hit in six frames. Woodinville, unbeaten and ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, unleashed a 12-hit attack led by Lauren Burchak, who blasted two home runs, driving in three runs. She also scored three times. Michelle Lambert was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, while Makenna Weir was 2-for-3 with a triple.

Ballard 4, Roosevelt 0

Andrea Jewett twirled a one-hitter, fanning 11 and walking just one. She also delivered a two-run double. Bernie Cardon went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run, while Jamie Thelen drove in the Beavers’ other run.

Spanaway Lake 11, Curtis 10

The Sentinels held on to win a wild one, thanks largely to Cara Custer, who earned the victory and went 3-for-5 with a triple. Jordan Steele also was 3-for-5 and scored twice. For Curtis, Brittany Halquist homered and tripled, driving in four and scoring twice, while Morgan Arrington went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Bellevue 17, Mount Si 5

An 11-run second inning propelled the Wolverines. Their 17-hit attack was spearheaded by Lisa Bennett (2-for-4, HR, 4 RBI), Marika McCarthy (3-for-4) and Katie Savard (4-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI). Danielle Massengill homered and doubled for Mount Si. Lauren Smith also finished 2-for-3.

Auburn Mountainview 12, Lakes 4

Alleyah Armendariz struck out 17 in seven innings, allowing just two earned runs. Amanda Colella and Kelly Kirk both went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, while Alicia Zabriskie homered and drove in three runs.

Bishop Blanchet 10, Kennedy Catholic 5

The Braves handed the Lancers their first loss of the season as winning pitcher Samantha Shanahan smacked two doubles and a single, plating five runs. Megan Lamb added a 2-for-3 performance. Kennedy’s Amy Bassett went 2-for-4.

Juanita 14, Interlake 0

It appears Allison Rhodes tossed a five-inning perfect game as she allowed no hits or walks and the seventh-ranked Rebels didn’t commit an error. She struck out 14. Lexy Faist keyed Juanita’s 16-hit attach, going 3-for-3 with a triple and double, five RBI and three runs scored. Dani Faist also was 3-for-3, driving in two and scoring twice, while Katie Kent was 2-for-2 with three RBI.
