Once again, there was only a smattering of softball action on Thursday, but here are some highlights from the few games reported to The Times:
Juanita 12, Lake Washington 0
Allison Rhodes (3 innings, 8 Ks, 1 BB) and Abbie Oswald (2 innings, 2 Ks) combined on a no-hitter. The seventh-ranked Rebels amassed 16 hits, including two each by Rachel O’Neill (3 RBI) and Keanna Miller (1 RBI). Katie Kent doubled and drove in three.
Bonney Lake 10, Lakes 0
Four players had two hits apiece for the 10th-ranked Panthers — Taylor Watkins (3B, 2B, 2 RBI), Kali Patterson (2 2Bs, 2 RBI), Michaela Blad (2B, 2 RBI) and Bailey Ahern (RBI). Rendi Johnson struck out six in four innings.
Shorewood 8, Shorecrest 3
Madison Hollenbeck went the distance, allowing just three hits (two by Jeanna Berg) and striking out 10. She was also one of three Shorewood players with two hits (including a double). The others were Kendra Holley-Lair (HR, 3 RBI) and Monica Eik (2 RBI).
Curtis 11, Federal Way 6
The Vikings broke into the win column with a 16-hit attack keyed by Molly Yoshikawa (4-for-4, 2 3Bs, 2B, 4 RBI, 4 runs), Brittany Halquist (3-for-4, 3B, 3 RBI) and Karyn Winquist (3-for-4, 3 runs, 1 RBI).
Franklin Pierce 12, Steilacoom 1
Kelli Crawford threw a six-inning one-hitter, fanning seven. Lindsey Bolte went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBI, while Lenessa Nelson also drove in four, going 3-for-4.
