Some high-school softball highlights from Monday

Still not a lot of action out on the local high-school softball scene on Monday, but here are some highlights from the games reported to The Times:

Issaquah 7, Bothell 3

Heather Benjamin went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases to lead the Eagles. Bothell got three hits from Sammy Morris and two from Cammille Weisenbach (each with a double).

Inglemoor 10, Newport 8

The Vikings scored two in the bottom of the seventh to win it…possibly on Taylor Peacocke’s home run? Our highlights don’t show the inning, but she did have a homer, along with a single, and finished with three RBI and three runs scored. Shelby Johnston and Lyndsey Porter had two hits apiece and Holly Sandborg tripled. Newport’s Indiana Coxey and India Gantz were both 2-for-3 (including a double for Gantz).

Kentwood 20, Auburn 3

Hannah Feist tripled twice, driving in six and scoring three times, while Regan Rudsill went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Puyallup 19, Federal Way 0

Kylie McChesney (3-for-3, 5 RBI) and Mackenzie Pletcher (2-for-4, 4 RBI) paced the Vikings.

Marysville-Pilchuck 7, Kamiak 4

The third-ranked Tomahawks remained unbeaten, getting two hits each from Katie Buck, Sascha Clow and Riley Fritz (who also earned the win on the mound). For Kamiak, Karleigh Severson went 2-for-3 and Sidney Drury doubled.

Lake Washington 17, Mount Si 7

Both teams had 12 hits, but three of LW’s were home runs — by Bethany Bacon (2-for-4, 4 RBI, 2 runs), Jenny Hill (3-for-4, 3 RBI, 3 runs) and Megan Spartz (3-for-3, 3B, 4 RBI, run). The Kangaroos also got help at the plate from Whitney Dunlap (3-for-3, 3B, RBI, 2 runs) and Laura Chopp (2-for-4, 3 RBI). For Mount Si, Celine Fowler was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs, while Maura Murphy doubled and tripled, scoring twice and driving in two.

Bishop Blanchet 14, Seattle Prep 3

Samantha Shanahan struck out eight while throwing the five-inning two-hitter. Megan Lam and Marley Suarez both had two hits.

Kennedy Catholic 22, Tyee 0

Kelsey Trautmann was a triple away from hitting for the cycle, driving in five runs and scoring four times. Angie Isernio also homered, adding three RBI and three runs scored. Halle Davis went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs and two stolen bases, while Jenny Donohue was 2-for-3 with two runs score.

Bonney Lake 7, Peninsula 3

In a key SPSL 3A game, the ninth-ranked Panthers remained unbeaten. Mickey Blad went 3-for-3 with a double and triple, while Taylor Watkins was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI. Rendi Johnson picked up the victory, allowing just one earned run, and helped herself with a double and two RBI.

Lake Stevens 5, Oak Harbor 1

Alia Kelly smacked two doubles and pitched five scoreless innings for the Vikings, while Autumn Issacson homered and went 3-for-4. Tayler Blumenfeld also finished 4-for-4. Oak Harbor’s Shawna Steele had two hits.

Franklin Pierce 3, Fife 1

Kelli Crawford tossed a two hitter and had two hits of her own.

Orting 20, Vaashon 0

Courtney Dodd tossed the five-inning no hitter to improve to 5-0 and got help at the plate frm Kierra Carson (3-for-3, HR, 4 RBI) and Hollie Wood (4-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI).
