High-school baseball highlights from Thursday

Here is a look back at Thursday’s high-school baseball action.

Chimacum 12, Orting 0

Chimacum junior Landon Cray (two-time defending league MVP) struck out 20 during a complete-game, no-hitter. His perfect game was broken up with a walk in the sixth, but he picked off the runner on first.

Bothell 5, Roosevelt 1

— Bothell’s Henry Baillargeon allowed one run on five hits and stuck out seven during a complete-game victory over Roosevelt.

Ballard 13, Garfield 7

Ben Welch went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored for Ballard. John Trupin led the Bulldogs, going 2 for 3 with a home run.

Newport 5, Issaquah 0

Jared Fisher gave up two hits and struck out 11 over six scoreless innings in Newport’s win over Issaquah.

Nate Anderson homered for the Knights.

Woodinville 4, Inglemoor 2

— Woodinville’s Marty Luckenbach struck out 10 during a complete-game win over Inglemoor.

Redmond 11, Eastlake 0 (5 inn.)

Dylan Davis went 3 for 4 with a homer, five RBI and three runs scored for Redmond.

Zach Abbruzza held Eastlake hitless and struck out six through five innings.

Auburn 9, Kentlake 8

Justin Burns went 3 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBI for Auburn. Quinton Hartman finished 2 for 4 with a homer, triple and three RBI for Kentlake.

Auburn Riverside 15, Kent-Meridian 3

Austin Marty homered and doubled twice and Mike Sherwin also homered in Auburn Riverside’s win.

Emerald Ridge 6, Beamer 5

Mac Gridley homered and drove in a pair and Jarred Prather homered for Beamer.

Tahoma 10, Kentwood 8

Reed Johnson went 3 for 4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored to lead Tahoma.

Taylor Jones and Cash McGwire homered for Kentwood.

Bishop Blanchet 9, Bainbridge 2

Riley Rockwell homered twice and drove in five runs for Blanchet.

Kennedy Catholic 20, Tyee 1

Day Lee, Grant Perotti and Danny Werleth homered in Kennedy’s win.

Enumclaw 19, Lakes 9

Eric Koenig went 3 for 3 with two homers and five RBI, while Preston Keeter homered and drove in three.

Dillon Gee and Marc Guizzetti homered for Lakes.
