A few high-school softball highlights from Wednesday

There were only had five high-school softball games reported to The Times Wednesday, thanks to this lovely weather, but here you go:

Bothell 28, Skyline 17

It was tied at 12 before the Cougars erupted for 16 runs in the top of the fifth. We didn’t get much in the way of Bothell highlights, other than Kendra Heyer went 2-for-4. Skyline lost despite smacking 14 hits, led by Anya Kamber (4-for-4, 3B, 2B), Natalie De La Garrigue (3-for-4, 2 RBI), Megan Burris (2-for-3, 4 RBI) and Lindsey Nicholson (2-for-3, 3 RBI).

Emerald Ridge 9, Federal Way 0

Three ER players had two hits apiece — Stephanie Riley (3B, 2 runs), Kristine Massey (2B, RBI, run) and Chelsey Hayes (3 RBI). Megan Hendrix tossed a five-inning two-hitter).

West Seattle 10, Franklin 0

Rosie Patnode pitched a five-inning no-hitter, while Sophia Schwartz went 2-for-2.

Everett 11, Shorewood 1

The sixth-ranked Seagulls had three offensive standouts — Lauren Kesterson (3-for-4, 3B, 4 runs), Anna Hudson (3-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI) and Chloe Kesterson (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 3 SB).

South Whidbey 6, Cedarcrest 4

Shantel Brown was 2-for-4 to lead the way, driving in one run. Cedarcrest’s Jerrica Kjorsvik had a double and two RBI.
