Bothell receiver Trent Sewell has been nominated for consideration to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

He was presented with the nomination Thursday.

Sewell joins Mercer Island quarterback Jeff Lindquist, who was nominated earlier this week.

The event, which is a matchup of East vs. West is scheduled for Jan. 7, 2012 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour begins in September.

I caught up with Sewell recently. Here is the blog post.

Boise State, Oregon State, Utah and Notre Dame will be heading to Bothell next week to evaluate Sewell, who has packed on 25 pounds of muscle and is starting to round into form for the Cougars’ track team as well.
