The top spot in the Class 4A baseball rankings has changed again.
After Walla Walla swept Richland, the Bombers fell from the top spot last week and were replaced by Redmond. Then the Mustangs, as the No. 1 team in the state, lost a one-run game to Skyline and check in this week at No. 6.
Jackson jumps up one spot and takes over at No. 1. It was a tough call between the Timberwolves and Tahoma.
Ferris moves up to No. 3 this week, while Puyallup climbs all the way to No. 4. Walla Walla enters the rankings for the first time this week at No. 7.
In 3A, Camas remains unbeaten and keeps the top spot, while Shorewood stays at No. 2. Enumclaw fell to Auburn Mountainview for the second time this year and drop to No. 4, allowing Southridge to take the third spot in this week’s rankings.
Eastside Catholic swapped places with Mountain View at Nos. 6 and 7, while Timberline enters the rankings this week at No. 8 with a 16-2 record.
I wanted to also take a moment to recognize Richland coach Ben Jacobs, who recently picked up career win No. 400.
