High-school baseball highlights from Tuesday

Here is a look back at Tuesday’s high-school baseball action.

Skyline 9, Issaquah 6

— Issaquah’s Ethan Kalin hit a grand slam, but it wasn’t enough as Skyline held off the Eagles.

Newport 3, Redmond 2

Nick Clifford hit a solo homer in the second inning and Jared Fisher added a two-run shot in the fourth to lift Newport over Redmond.

Inglemoor 5, Roosevelt 4

Reid Martinez homered for Roosevelt, but Inglemoor edged the Roughriders.

Jefferson 10, Kent-Meridian 8

— Jefferson’s Steven Sonnenfeld went 3 for 3 with a home run and four RBI.

Taylor Whittum drove in three runs for Kent-Meridian.

Kentridge 8, Mount Rainier 6

Kentridge’s Joe Wainhouse hit a grand slam, leading the Chargers past Mount Rainier.

Kevin Smith homered for Mount Rainer, while Taylor Goucher went 4 for 4 with three triples, an RBI and two runs scored.

Marysville-Pilchuck 11, Monroe 1

Ross Lyons went 2 for 3 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored for Marysville-Pilchuck.

Interlake 3, Juanita 1

— Interlake’s Griffin Sutich allowed one unearned run on seven hits during a complete-game victory.

Bishop Blanchet 10, Rainier Beach 0

Nate Backes and Peter Johnson went 2 for 3 with three RBI, while Joe Throckmorton finished 4 for 4.

Seattle Prep 8, O’Dea 6

Nick Pribble fell a single shy of the cycle and drove in three runs for Seattle Prep. Luke Simpson also homered for the Panthers.

Lindbergh 13, Renton 3

— Lindbergh’s Billy Hernandez fell a home run shy of the cycle, going 3 for 4 with two RBI.

Kennedy Catholic 22, Tyee 1

Grant Pierotti went 2 for 3 with two home runs and five RBI, while Day Lee homered — it looks like it might have been a grand slam, but isn’t clear from the box score — drove in five runs and scored three times.

Enumclaw 10, Decatur 0, Game 1

Tyler Carlson hit a grand slam, while Trenton Disque and Eric Koenig each added three-run shots for Enumclaw.

Enumclaw 15, Decatur 10, Game 2

Levi Goodin went 3 for 4 with three RBI for Enumclaw.

Brett Johnson finished 3 for 4 with a home run and five RBI.

Oak Harbor 13, Glacier Peak 1

Yale Rosen homered and drove in two, while Gabe Clark added two hits and four RBI for Oak Harbor.

Shorewood 13, Meadowdale 3

Duncan Hendrickson homered and drive in three and Trevor Mitsui hit a home run and drove in a pair for Shorewood.

Bellevue Christian 14, Overlake 4

Nat Townsend went 2 for 3 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored. Bellevue Christian scored 12 runs in the first inning.
