The WIBCA announced seven new hall of fame members Wednesday. I’ve spent a lot of time over the years with one of the new additions, Steilacoom assistant Bruce Hayes.
Hayes was my P.E. teacher when I was in eighth grade and he coached me for four years at Steilacoom. I now see him every year at the school’s alumni game. It is definitely a well-deserved honor for the longtime assistant who is a pivotal part of the success coach Gary Wusterbarth — he was inducted in 2007 — has had with the Sentinels over the years.
