High-school baseball highlights from Thursday

Here is a look back at Thursday’s high-school baseball action.

Metro League tournament

Here is my story from the two semifinal games. The first one was O’Dea and Chief Sealth, followed Seattle Prep and Eastside Catholic’s extra-inning thriller. Click here.

Bishop Blanchet 14, Nathan Hale 0

Andrew Kraus went 3 for 3 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored to lead Blanchet.

Max Engelbrekt hit a three-run homer for Blanchet.

West Seattle 6, Franklin 0

LaTrey Newsome went 4 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored for West Seattle.

Thomas Snow picked up the win, allowing three hits during a complete-game shutout.

Northwest 3A District tournament

Glacier Peak 11, Ferndale 7

Scott Ford went 2 for 4 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored.

Northwest 4A District tournament

Marysville-Pilchuck 5, Kamiak 4

Riley McKinley doubled and drove in two for Marysville-Pilchuck.

West Central/Southwest 3A Bi-District tournament

Auburn Mountainview 9, Wilson 0

Brice McCulloch went 3 for 3 with two RBI and two runs scored for Auburn Mountainview.

West Central/Southwest 4A Bi-District tournament

Tahoma 3, Emerald Ridge 2

Reed Johnson went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI for Tahoma. Chris Kerwood struck out eight and allowed two runs — one earned — during a complete game for the Bears.
