A quick preview of the high-school boys soccer semifinals

Earlier in the week, I took a look at the high-school baseball semifinals. I wanted to take some time to look at boys soccer.

Class 4A

Eastlake (12-3-2) vs. Kentwood (16-1-3), 6 p.m. Friday at Harry Lang Stadium

The Conquerors shocked their way into the semis, knocking off top-ranked Beamer. Click here for story.

Kentwood is trying to sweep the 4A soccer titles after the girls claimed the championship in the fall.

Eastlake has been on a tear of late. Since losing to Newport, 1-0, on April 12 the Wolves have won eight straight and given up just one goal during that stretch.

Skyline (14-2-2) vs. Stadium (15-3), 8 p.m. Friday at Harry Lang Stadium

The Spartans keep losing players and continue to find ways to win. The scrappy program faces a tough challenge in Stadium, last year’s champion.

Bainbridge (16-3-1) vs. Glacier Peak (20-1-0), 2 p.m. Friday at Harry Lang Stadium

Bainbridge blanked Mount Vernon, 1-0, in the quarterfinals. Click here for a recap. Glacier Peak, the defending 3A champs, faced a high-scoring quarterfinal against Lakeside, winning 3-2. Click here for a recap.

Camas vs. Southridge, 4 p.m. Friday at Harry Lang Stadium
