Former Seattle Prep standout D.J. Fenner has moved back to Seattle and applied to attend O’Dea, Irish coach Al Hairston confirmed Friday.
The 6-foot-4 guard/forward will play for O’Dea during summer-league games, starting Friday at the 2011 Quaker Summer Slam Tournament. The Irish’s first game is at 6:50 p.m. at Franklin High School.
As a freshman at Seattle Prep, Fenner, who is the son of former Seattle Seahawks running back Derrick Fenner, averaged better than 18 points per game. He spent his sophomore season at Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C.
