Catching up with Mariner RB KeiVarae Russell — video

I took some time Thursday to drive up and talk to Mariner running back KeiVarae Russell, who just returned from The Opening in Oregon. The 5-11, 180-pound standout talked about the experience, the recruiting process and the upcoming season.

Russell is a very good football player, a gifted student and a good kid, so it was fun to catch up with the highly touted prospect, rated the top running back in Washington this year. He said he’s up to 16 offers but, right now, his top three is Washington, Cal and Notre Dame.
