2011 Cougars Passing Tournament this weekend

The 2011 Cougars Passing Tournament, a 7-on-7 event, will be held at Lakewood High School on Saturday.

Here are the schools that will be participating separated by divisions:

Maroon

Lake Stevens (4A), Mount Vernon (3A), Lakewood (2A), Prosser (2A)

Gold

Bethel (4A), Liberty (3A), Bellingham (2A), Sultan (2A)

Black

Bothell (4A), Eastside Catholic (3A), Glacier Peak (3A), LaConner (2B)

White

Issaquah (4A), Stanwood (4A), Port Angeles (2A), King’s (1A)

Red

Kamiak (4A), Juanita (3A), Marysville-Getchell (3A), Coupeville (1A)

Here is the schedule:

9 a.m.

Lakewood vs. Mount Vernon, Sultan vs. Bellingham, Glacier Peak vs. LaConner, Stanwood vs. King’s, Kamiak vs. Marysville-Getchell

10 a.m.

Lake Stevens vs. Prosser, Bethel vs. Liberty, Bothell vs. Eastside Catholic, Port Angeles vs. Issaquah, Juanita vs. Coupeville

11 a.m.

Lakewood vs. Prosser, Bellingham vs. Liberty, Glacier Peak vs. Eastside Catholic, Stanwood vs. Issaquah, Kamiak vs. Coupeville

Noon

Lake Stevens vs. Mount Vernon, Bethel vs. Sultan, Bothell vs. LaConner, Port Angeles vs. King’s, Juanita vs. Marysville-Getchell

1 p.m.

Lakewood vs. Lake Stevens, Bellingham vs. Bethel, Glacier Peak vs. Bothell, Stanwood vs. Port Angeles, Kamiak vs. Juanita

2 p.m.

Prosser vs. Mount Vernon, Liberty vs. Sultan, Eastside Catholic vs. LaConner, Issaquah vs. King’s, Coupeville vs. Marysville-Getchell

3 p.m. Consolation games: The bottom 12 teams that do NOT make the playoff bracket will each get one additional game: 9v10, 11v12, 13v14, 15v16, 17v18, 19v20

4 p.m. Playoffs begin: 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6 & 4 vs. 5. Determined by overall record; 1st tie breaker will be head-to-head if it involves only 2 teams, 2nd tie breaker is overall point differential for round-robin games.

5 p.m. Semi-final

6 p.m. Championship

7 p.m. Awards: Championship trophy as well as Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP of tournament are awarded.

There will also be the first-annual Lineman Challenge Saturday. Here is the schedule:

10 a.m. bench press (weight room)

11 a.m. tire toss (lower practice field)

Noon tire relay (lower practice field)

1 p.m. tug-o-war (lower practice field)

2 p.m. 4X100 relay (stadium)

2:50 p.m. Lineman Awards given (stadium)
