Issaquah wins third straight Cougars Passing Tourney title

Issaquah won the 2011 Cougars Passing Tournament title, taking the championship for the third year in a row.

The Eagles defeated Kamiak in the tournament title game.

Here are the MVPs:

Offensive MVP: Ethan Kalin, SR, Issaquah – QB

Defensive MVP: Brandon Stott, JR, Lakewood – DB

Lineman MVP: Carlos Vilchis, JR, Stanwood (27 reps of 185)

Lineman Team Champions: Bethel

Here is how each team in the tournament finished:

Issaquah: 6-0: W 69-29 over PA, W 45-0 over Stanwood, W 41-35 over King’s, W 31-21 over LW playoffs, W 45-42 over Bethel (last play), W 41-14 over Kamiak.

Kamiak: 5-1: W 41-0 over M-G, W 44-0 over Coupeville, W 31-20 over Juanita, W 33-10 over King’s playoffs, W 14-10 over Bothell, L 14-41 to Issaquah.

Bethel: 4-1: W 49-34 over Liberty, W 44-24 over Sultan, W 73-21 over Bellingham, playoffs: W 42-14 over Glacier Peak, L 42-45 to Issaquah (last play).

Bothell: 4-1: W 20-7 over Sultan, W 54-20 over LaConner, W 41-26 over Glacier Peak: playoffs: W 38-14 over Juanita, L 10-14 to Kamiak.

Juanita: 2-2: W 45-10 over Coupeville, W 48-14 over Marysville-Getchell, L 20-31 to Kamiak: playoffs: L 14-38 to Bothell.

Glacier Peak: 2-2: W 39-7 over LaConner, W 32-8 over Marysville-Getchell, L 26-41 to Bothell: playoffs: L 14-42 to Bethel.

Lakewood: 2-2: L 28-35 to MV, W 38-28 over Prosser, W 43-21 over LS: Playoffs: L 21-31 to Issaquah.

King’s: 2-2: W 38-14 over Stanwood, W 24-13 over Port Angeles, L 35-41 to Issaquah: Playoffs: L 10-33 to Kamiak.

Liberty: 3-1: L 34-49 to Bethel, W 39-25 over Bellingham, W 28-7 over Sultan: Consolation: W 49-38 over Mount Vernon.

Lake Stevens: 3-1: W 38-28 over Prosser, W 31-17 over Mount Vernon, L 21-43 to Lakewood: Consolation: W 24-16 over Port Angeles.
