Catching up with Bellevue lineman Jake Eldrenkamp

High-school football practices officially begin a week from Wednesday and teams continue to get in some late-summer conditioning.

The latest stop in my attempt to catch up with some of the area’s top recruits took me out to Bellevue where I spent some time with another top-tier offensive line prospect.

Jake Eldrenkamp, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound tackle, will be the Wolverines’ leader on the line in 2011.

After Tuesday’s workout, Eldrenkamp talked about the 2011 season, including Bellevue’s trip to California for the Mission Viejo High-School Football Classic to play Oaks Christian.
