Class 4A and 3A girls basketball rankings — Week 4

You won’t find many changes in this week’s Class 4A and 3A girls basketball rankings.

That’s because only two top-10 teams lost last week, and while some people don’t agree with the rankings (particularly in 3A), I’m sticking with the teams that didn’t lose (yes, Liberty has not overwhelmed opponents by any means, but the Patriots are still unbeaten and I’m still a believer in Juanita).

In fact, I’m sticking with the two teams that did lose, too. In 4A, Lewis and Clark dropped a game to 3A Shadle Park (which will make its way back into the rankings, I’m betting), but beat a very good University team. I’m keeping L-C in, but barely. The Tigers, the defending 4A champions and preseason No. 1, are at No. 10.

University drops just one spot in 3A to No. 7.

These will be the final rankings for 2011 as I am off next week. With tons of tournaments and events over the next two weeks, there likely will be plenty of changes when the 2012 update comes on Jan. 2.

Until then, enjoy the holidays!
