Some girls basketball highlights from Monday

It was a light scheduled of area girls basketball games Monday night, but a couple of teams ranked in Class 4A were in action, so I’ll get right to the highlights:

Lake Stevens 68, Cascade 20

The third-ranked, unbeaten Vikings rolled behind the 21 points from Kaite Goddard with Brooke Pahukoa chiming in with 11. Kianna Hood scored half of Cascade’s points.

Jackson 64, Arlington 47

Kelli Kingma pumped in 21 for the No. 7 Timberwolves, who also got 17 from Kristin Stoffel and 12 from Sierra Anderson. Arlington was led by Krista Showalter (17) and Lindsay Brown (14).

Note that Jackson hosts Lake Stevens next Wednesday (1/18), and that should be a good one.

Monroe 54, Kamiak 47

The Bearcats were sparked by Alyssa Brazel (14) and Ashley Alexander (11), while Kamiak’s Salena Taylor finished with 12.

Snohomish 56, Mariner 28

Snohomishe’s Julia Young was the only player for either team in double figures with 16.

Marysville-Pilchuck 34, Edmonds-Woodway 32

Charlee Pilon keyed the victory with 13 points. E-W also got 13 from Sidney Wick, plus 10 from Natalie Kasper.

Archbishop Murphy 51, Lakewood 15

Beth Carlson tossed in 15 points and 10 others contributed to the scoring.

Cedarcrest 53, Granite Falls 33

The Red Wolves landed three in double figures — Susan Kenney (15), Sarah Stauffer 912) and Kailyn Campbell (11). Rhiannon Alexander topped the Granite Falls scorers with 14.

King’s 48, South Whidbey 17

Savanna Hanson and Karlie Storkson put up matching 11s for the Knights.

Life Christian 44, Auburn Adventist 41

Lauren Trittin led a balanced Life Christian attack with 11.

Northwest Yeshiva 53, Tulalip Heritage 39

Milana Davydov poured in 21 to lead the way and got help from Julia Owen (11) and Elana Hasson (10).
