Federal Way High School has set a memorial service for Jean Licari on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. in the cafeteria and gymnasium.
Licari, a long-time teacher and track coach at Federal Way, lost a battle with cancer on Sunday. She was 45 and is survived by her husband, Pat, and two daughters.
Then on Jan. 27, there will be a variety of events at the school, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., to both remember Licari and help raise funds to support her family:
Cross country fun run, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Multi-cultural dance exhibition, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
Short film event by Steve Edmiston, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
A concession stand will be open throughout the festivities and a silent auction will also run from 2 to 8 p.m.
The Federal Way High School Foundation has set up a bank account for the Licari family and you can make donations by going to this link.
