King Holiday Hoopfest — time changes

There have been time changes to two of Monday’s King Holiday Hoopfest games.

Here is the press release:

SEATTLE – The King Holiday Hoopfest Committee today announced that game times for the Jan. 16 basketball showcase matching Jefferson High of Portland and Bothell High, as well as Long Beach Poly and Rainier Beach, have been moved to earlier start times of Noon and 3:35 p.m., respectively.

The games, to be played at the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, were originally scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

The time changes were made to accommodate ROOT Sports who is televising the O’Dea vs. Franklin game at 2 p.m. followed 15 minutes later by the Long Beach Poly vs. Rainier Beach match-up.

All gates for the day-long showcase of high school basketball will open at 8:30 a.m. – one half-hour before Hoopfest’s opener between Lake Washington and Lincoln.

Fans interested in experiencing the area’s premier celebration of high school hoops can purchase tickets at the door for $10 each, or online at fohseattle.com.

10:30 a.m. – Woodinville vs. Cleveland (GIRLS)

Noon – Jefferson H.S. (OR) vs. Bothell

2:05 p.m. – O’Dea vs. Franklin

3:35 p.m. – Long Beach Poly H.S. (CA) vs. Rainier Beach

5:30 p.m. – M.L.K. TRIBUTE

6 p.m. – Lakes vs. Garfield

7:30 p.m. – Federal Way vs. Seattle Prep

NOTE: TEAMS LISTED SECOND (ON RIGHT) ARE HOME TEAMS
