It was a light scheduled of local girls basketball games Thursday, but here are some highlights from those reported to The Times:
Cleveland 67, Bainbridge 49
The Eagles, ranked No. 6 in Class 3A, used a big first half (38-18) to take control and landed four players in double figures — MyMy Ladd (17), Joyce Harrell (12), Brionna Hart (10) and Oliva Smith (10). For Bainbridge, Wesley Nottingham scored 16 and Hannah Depew 14.
White River 56, Bonney Lake 38
The Hornets, No. 2 in the Associated Press 2A rankings, were led by Cassidy France (16), Kennedy Hobert (16) and Amanda Lance (12). Bonney Lake got 16 from Mekenzie Voellger and 11 from Naomi Pounds.
Seattle Academy 33, Overlake 20
Campbell Reynolds and Sohpia Schwartz scored 8 apiece for Seattle Academy.
Bear Creek 38, Crosspoint Academy 33
Kendall Engelston and Catherine Fernandez put up 10 each to lead the way. Desere’e Doty (17) and Grace Garguile (14) accounted for nearly all of Crosspoint’s scoring.
Northwest Yeshiva 56, Quilcene 21
The victory was a team effort, led by Grace Almo with 10. Quilcene’s Samantha Rae finished with 14.
