For the first time this season there weren’t many changes to make. The Class 3A rankings stayed the same, while the Class 4A rankings only changed slightly.
That’s what happens when a week’s worth of games gets postponed due to snow.
While local games were called off from Thursday through Friday — and through the weekend in some places — some games were played in other parts of the state. Central Valley knocked off Gonzaga Prep in a close game over in Spokane, and Evergreen upset Union down in Vancouver.
The Titans fall from No. 4 to No. 8, allowing Snohomish, Garfield and Central Valley to move up one spot.
Other than that, the rankings remain unchanged. With teams trying to finish off the regular season in time for league tournaments, there will be a lot of games in a short window, which should lead to a wild finish.
All that means is the rankings won’t stay this way for long.
