The community continues to rally around Seattle Christian basketball player Katie Collier, the Washington-bound senior who is battling acute promyelocytic leukemia.
I blogged Wednesday that the Newport girls basketball program will hold a Cancer Awareness Night Friday. Click here.
Then, on Feb. 1, King’s will host a Cancer Awareness Night when it hosts Cedarcrest. Like the event at Newport, King’s will also donate the proceeds to the Katie Collier Medical Fund.
The Knights will wear their pink uniforms — like the one pictured above from last year’s game — but will also wear Katie Collier T-shirts during warmups.
If you can’t make the game and would like to contribute to the Katie Collier Medical Fund, donations can be made at any U.S. Bank location.
Checks should be made out to “Katie Collier Medical Fund.”
