Friday football recruiting notes

I was at Puyallup High School Thursday for Joshua Garnett’s announcement that he will play college football at Stanford.

— Eastside Catholic standout Chevy Walker is headed to Portland State.

— Husky reporter Bob Condotta noted on his blog that Kennedy Catholic’s Jason Thompson has decided to decommit from Washington and will go to Wyoming.

Thompson, who wants to play quarterback in college, will join Federal Way standouts D.J. May and Uso Olive and Bothell’s Trent Sewell.

Wyoming is doing a nice job in Washington, landing some underrated talent.

— Archbishop Murphy linebacker Sam Shober will visit Dartmouth this weekend.
