Signing day high-school football notes

It’s signing day and high-school seniors all across the country and making their decisions official. Bob Condotta is compiling all the UW information on the Huskies blog and Bud Withers has the Cougars covered, but if there is news on local high-school kids heading out of state or to smaller in-state schools, I will post those updates here.

The photo is from Trent Sewell’s signing ceremony this morning at Bothell. The senior receiver is headed to Wyoming with several other state standouts.

Here is my story on the group headed to Laramie, Wyo. Click here.

King’s lineman Roko Gucake is headed to Western Oregon.

Jefferson quarterback K.W. Williams will play for Idaho State and Interlake running back Jordan Todd, the state’s single-season rushing record holder, will play at Central Washington.

Lake Stevens is holding a ceremony for Central Washington bound seniors QB Jake Nelson, WR Christian Gasca, WR Brady Pahukoa and LB Korey Young at 1:30 p.m. and I’ll be out there for that.

Looking ahead a year, Skyline quarterback Max Browne has picked up a couple of new offers, adding Alabama and Arizona State.

With former Washington offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier now at Alabama, the Crimson Tide has a shot at Browne. Browne also has an offer from Washington among other schools.
