Monday’s boys HS hoops highlights

Here is a look back at the boys high-school basketball highlights from Monday night.

KingCo 3A Tournament

Mercer Island 81, Mount Si 42

Five Mercer Island players finished in double figures, leading the Islanders past Mount Si. Mercer Island will play Bellevue for the third time in five days at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Anthony McLaughlin scored a game-high 20 points for Mount Si.

Sammamish 72, Liberty 36

Robert Ambartsumyan scored a game-high 14 points in Sammamish’s win over Liberty.

The Totems play No. 6 Lake Washington at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Metro League Tournament

Bainbridge 85, Ingraham 64

Rico Failla poured in 29 points and Chris Bell added 18 to keep Bainbridge’s season alive.

The Spartans play at Nathan Hale at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Said Hersi led Ingraham with 19 points.

Eastside Catholic 67, Lakeside 62

Joey Schreiber finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds in Eastside Catholic’s season-saving win over Lakeside.

The Crusaders play at Chief Sealth at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Tramaine Isabell led Lakeside with 19 points.

WesCo 3A tiebreaker

Everett 53, Meadowdale 43

Reece Hoiby scored a game-high 19 points in Everett’s win over Meadowdale.

Other games

Kent-Meridian 67, Auburn 65

Auburn’s Harold Lee scored 26 points, but it wasn’t enough against Kent-Meridian.

Michael Banks finished with 17 points for Kent-Meridian.

Kentwood 49, Auburn Riverside 39

Jeremy Smith scored 17 points and Taylor Jones added 14 as Kentwood wrapped up the SPSL North regular-season crown.

Mount Rainier 77, Kentridge 69

Adrian Davis scored 19 points, leading Mount Rainier to its fifth straight win.

Jawan Stepney scored a game-high 22 points for Kentridge.

Tahoma 75, Kentlake 62

Coleman Wooten scored 17 and Ethan McCormack added 16 in Tahoma’s win over Kentlake.

Kentlake’s Jaron Heck scored a game-high 20 points in the loss.

Kennedy Catholic 58, Renton 51

Kennedy Catholic’s Mitch Penner broke the 20-point mark for the 14th time this season, scoring a game-high 25 points in a win over Renton.

Bellevue Christian 57, Seattle Academy 54

Seattle Academy’s Yaniv Shier scored a game-high 25 points, but it wasn’t enough against Bellevue Christian.

Bryce Oldham finished with 16 points for Bellevue Christian.

Seattle Christian 48, Charles Wright 46

Chaise DeVries (17 points) and Richard Jensen (16 points) carried Seattle Christian past Charles Wright.
