To be honest, I didn’t expect to say any softball games played Thursday, because of this wet weather. But we got results from three. Unfortunately, we got a score only from one of them: Monroe 2, Edmonds-Woodway 1, in 9 innings (no details).
Here are highlights from the other two:
Lynnwood 13, Jackson 8
The two teams combined for 25 hits, but the Royals made the most of their 12, getting three apiece from Jasmine Edwards, Katie Eno and Jessica Gott. Each scored twice, too. Edwards had a home run and double to go with her single and drove in three runs. Gott also picked up the win on the mound. Jackson’s Jessica Roy homered and doubled, finishing with four RBI and two runs scored. Dewey Davis smacked two doubles.
Snohomish 16, Shorewood 0 (5 innings)
Bailey Seek struck out 13 and allowed just two hits, including a double by Miranda Igl. Offensively, the Panters got three hits apiece from Kaitlyn Purvis (who also scored three times) and Karissa Lampher. Trystin Melhart added a double and a single.
