Monday’s high-school baseball highlights

There was plenty of action on the local baseball diamonds Monday, and here are the highlights:

Garfield 7, Lake Washington 6 (9 innings)

Garfield’s Chandler Honican finished 4-for-5 with a double, triple and four RBI and the Bulldogs scored three in the bottom of the ninth to win it. For LW, Nick Johnson was 3-for-4 with a double, while Theo Alexander had a triple and two RBI.

Woodinville 18, Monroe 2 (5 innings)

The Falcons pounded 17 hits, led by Beau Vinterun (4-for-4, three RBI, three runs), Lee Wunderlick (3-for-4, five RBI, two runs) and Nate Wilham (3-for-3, three runs). Jeff Winer allowed two hits in his three innings on the mound, striking out three.

Roosevelt 12, Foster 2 (5 innings)

Zach Naon (3-for-4, two doubles, four runs, three RBI) and Graylin Derke (two doubles, four RBI) keyed the victory.

Auburn Mountainview 5, Auburn 4

Anthony Thompson had two of Mountainview’s six hits. Brice McCullogh got the win and the save went to Derek Stephen.

Graham-Kapowsin 6, Juanita 0

Brandon Santos doubled and drove in two for the Eagles.

Lake Stevens 5, Central Kitsap 0

Christian Shouman was 2-for-3 and Alex Koeplin earned the victory.

Snohomish 8, Meadowdale 2

Russell Crippen doubled twice and picked up the win on the mound. Ben Dmochowsky and Haak Lande also each had a two-bagger.

West Seattle 7, Bishop Blanchet 2

Only detail listed is Sam Hellinger with the win.

O’Dea 17, Franklin 0 (5 innings)

No O’Dea highlights reported. Jay Won had one of Franklin’s two hits, a double.

Seattle Prep 10, Ingraham 0

Jason Brooks homered and tripled, driving in two, and the victory went to Max Winkelhake.

Eastside Catholic 6, Chief Sealth 1

Alex Foley struck out 10 and allowed just one hit, while Jeff Bohling doubled and scored three times.

Tyee 10, Evergreen 0

Chad Celestres fanned a dozen and gave up only one hit. He helped himself by going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Tyee’s other offensive leaders were Nate Owen (four RBI, two runs) and Isaak Wiebe (three RBI).

Lindbergh 17, Renton 3 (5 innings)

Enrique Martinez went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Brett Love collected the victory, scattering three hits and fanning five.

Fife 24, Lakes 1 (5 innings)

Josh Connolly led the Trojan’s offensive outburst, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored. Brock Carpenter homered and singled, collecting three RBI and scoring five times, while Tyler Stevens had a double and triple with three RBI and three runs.

Archbishop Murphy 19, Sultan 1 (5 innings)

Levi MaVorhis struck out 12 in tossing a one-hitter and notched a two-run triple as well. Trever Morrison doubled and tripled.

Bonney Lake 9, Sumner 7 (12 innings)

Nolan Weber got up to bat eight times and cracked three singles for the Panthers, driving in two, while Michael Gretter was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and three stoken bases. For Sumner, Chayce Christensen went 4-for-5 with two RBI and Tysen Fischlin was 3-for-7 with a triple and two RBI.

Eatonville 5, Spanaway Lake 0

Jesse Bollen tripled for Eatonville, collecting an RBI.

Charles Wright 12, Steilacoom 7 (6 innings)

Nate Mondou went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Tarriers. For Steilacoom, James Dodsworth was 3-for-4 with a double and RBI and Jesse Guzman logged a double and single.

Franklin Pierce 6, Peninsula 6

They apparently called this one after seven. The Cards got two singles and a double from Steven Cabera.
