Maddie Meyers talks about her win in the 3,000 at the LW Invite

I was at the Lake Washington Invitational most of the day and didn’t get a chance to post anything earlier because of internet issues.

Maddie Meyers of the Northwest School won the 1,500 and 3,000 to emerage as one of only two double-winners on the day. Kennadi Bouyer of Curtis was the other as she swept the 100 and 200, dropping her state-leading time in the 200 to 24.78.

Kamiakin of Kennewick ran away with the team title with 87.5 points, followed by Juanita (46), Auburn Riverside (42) and Highline (41).

I’ve got to get my story finished, but I wanted to post this video interview of Meyers after her victory in the 3,000 over Katie Knight of North Central (Spokane), who led most of the way.
