Wednesday’s high-school softball highlights

Here is a look back at Wednesday’s high-school softball action:

Metro League Tournament

Chief Sealth 11, Seattle Prep 4

Chief Sealth’s Malia Dewey doubled twice, drove in four runs and stole a pair of bases, while Alana Sullivan homered, scored three runs, had two RBI and swiped two bases in the Seahawks’ win over Seattle Prep.

Jenay McAuley went 3 for 3 with a home run, while Nina Leff added a double and two RBI in the loss.

Holy Names 8, West Seattle 7

Samantha Carlson went 3 for 5 with a triple to lead Holy Names. Kaitlin Cappetto struck out 10 for the Cougars.

Bishop Blanchet 4, Nathan Hale 2

Bishop Blanchet’s Megan Lamb went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Samantha Shanahan struck out nine and allowed just one earned run in the Braves’ victory.

Mariah Jameyson homered for Nathan Hale in the loss.

Bainbridge 14, Ingraham 0

Erin Kinney, Kate Kinney and Katie Raben all homered to lead Bainbridge.

Raben also struck out 10, improving to 10-0.

KingCo 4A

Ballard 7, Bothell 4

Lexie Gray went 4 for 4 with three RBI and two runs scored in Ballard’s win.

Roosevelt 15, Garfield 1

Roosevelt’s Emily Pellinger went 4 for 4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored, while Megan Campbell finished 3 for 4 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

Eastlake 8, Issaquah 4

Issaquah’s Lacey Westman homered and drove in three runs, but it wasn’t enough against Eastlake.

Skyline 10, Redmond 5

Winter Ridgeway fell a triple shy of the cycle, driving in two runs and scoring twice, while Charlotte Zhao went 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBI to lead Skyline.

Redmond’s Ashley Mitchell homered, had two RBI, scored three times and stole a pair of bases in the loss.

Woodinville 12, Inglemoor 0

Madi Schreyer struck out 11 and allowed just one hit in Woodinville’s win. Lauren Burchak doubled twice and drove in three runs.

WesCo 4A

Arlington 10, Monroe 0

Arlington’s Ronnie Ladines struck out 11 during a complete-game, three-hitter, while Katelyn McDonald went 4 for 4 with a double and five RBI.

Cascade 4, Kamiak 1

Cascade’s Makinlee Sellevold struck out 12, allowing one run on two hits during a complete-game victory over Kamiak.

Angie McFall homered in the loss.

Snohomish 8, Lake Stevens 3

Anna Pisac went 3 for 4 with two triples and four RBI to lead Snohomish.

Amie Browder homered for Lake Stevens.

Jackson 20, Edmonds-Woodway 9

Four Jackson players had three hits, including Molly McCall, who doubled and drove in five runs.

Kayla Ellis scored four times and doubled, while Megan Cooley tripled twice and scored three times.

WesCo 3A

Glacier Peak 10, Oak Harbor 0

Callie Bircher picked up the win for Glacier Peak, striking out seven over five scoreless innings. She also went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBI.

Lynnwood 12, Shorecrest 2

Erica Gott homered and Jessica Gott struck out 10 over six innings to lead Lynnwood.

Everett 16, Mountlake Terrace 5

Everett’s Kayla Deitius went 3 for 5 with two doubles in a win over Mountlake Terrace.
