Andrew Ness is back on the high-school volleyball scene after a one-year hiatus.
He is the new head coach at Archbishop Murphy.
Ness was the head coach at Eastside Catholic High School for five seasons, from 2006 to 2010, then took last season off. He guided the Crusaders to second-place finishes in the Class 3A state tournament in both 2008 and 2010.
At Archbishop Murphy, Ness takes over for Jeff Curtis, who left after three successful seasons to become head coach at Juanita.
